TITLE: The Force of Humanity

The war of technology
war technology is since in the servive of obscene anatomical vandalism
About:
Throw the engagement of technology and the force in witch humanity are pushing the bounders of futurism each day. Within this project I become inspired by combining street art and technology in to one. The idea of playing with scale and lettering has always interested me. I become excited and even more fascinated by my creativity pushing the bounders of fashion. once I started playing around with lettering and print ideas I decided to create a 3D print that can portray the use of technical aspect within the collection.

TITLE: Controlled Freedom; Cognitive Consciousness

"WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH"
Unconscious material is only unconscious because it has been pushed out of our consciousness.
About:
Within the ever evolving digital age culture, modern society has become dependant on the screen to provide one with almost every need and desire. This concept explores George Orwell's (1984) vision of 'dystopia' in line with today's environment, with modern exposure to screen time as a method of communication and... a way of life. Society has become so used to being watched and watching others that this is no longer noticeable, being aware yet unconscious of social cognition to fit the 'requirements'.

I don’t tell you you’re ugly... But I don’t have to tell you because you already know your ugly
SLAY DARLING

TITLE: AM I A MAN?

A child is envious of the opposite gender due to their genitalia.
If you understand transgender, then you understand that gender doesn't have to do with bed partners, it is to do with identity.
About:
The concept behind "AM I A MAN?" is that of gender envy and the identity behind gender itself. Inspired by Freud's theory of gender envy in young children, the silhouette and colour palette have responded to that. The playful colours and print reflect that of a child's understanding of gender and how free the emotions are that accompany it.

TITLE: The Uncertainty Paradox

INTOLERANCE OF YOUR PRESENT CREATES YOUR FUTURE
When people feel threatened, they often respond by becoming more confident in and more defensive of their prior beliefs, more closed-minded, and more aggressive toward those who disagree with them
About:
The Uncertainty Paradox: Suggests that the views of society regress back to old fashioned and prior values and beliefs due to people being threatened by 'aliens'. The recurring 'old fashioned' views of extreme Russia and the uprising of facist Britain have been explored to understand the cause behind current civic frustrations and the affect of these views on groups of people.
The clash of these views are represented to create a bold and bright collection.

TITLE: Lost In Deformation

Superficial, Cultural and Corrective Bodily Deformation.
About:
Extracting inspiration from bodily deforming procedures, I was able to design a sportswear based menswear collection with some womenswear silhouettes. By doing this I wanted to portray a lost identity meaning behind my collection to allow both men and women to wear certain pieces. Some elements of my collection suck as the embroidery and use of organza, brings through a feminine vibe. Whereas the oversized silhouettes represent a broad manly figure.

TITLE: Dissolution

Don't be into trends. Don't let fashion own you, decide what you are and what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live
Attitude is everything.
About:
My initial inspiration came from Aboriginal Australians and more specifically the Stolen Generation. I looked at the words ‘Suppression’, ‘Muzzled’, ‘Defeat’, ‘Override’ and ‘Dissolution’. Suppression of culture and the idea that such a beautiful, colourful culture could be suppressed as much as it was and made to be ashamed of.

TITLE: We Aren't Anything

We aren't anything but our own awareness. And if you don't have that, then you really aren't much of anything.
Masculinity is ingrained into society, it is the man's responsibility to provide for, protect and defend his family.
About:
What does it mean to have an identity? What is the identity of man? Masculinity is ingrained into society, it is the man's responsibility to provide for, protect and defend his family. Masculinity to me is manual labour, overalls and working men’s clubs. These key themes helped guide the direction of my FMP inspiring silhouette, fabric, colour palette and print. I set out to create a collection aimed towards middle aged working class men.

TITLE: overconsumption / overpopulation / sustainability

I sourced beautiful fabrics made with hemp, bamboo and cork - created with little or no harm to the environment or industry workers.
My intention was to create an ethical, eco-friendly collection.
About:
My Final Major Project started knowing I wanted to try and create an ethical, eco-friendly collection.
My concept developed from three key words. The word sustainability was the first I researched, collecting information on ethical processes and sourcing beautiful fabrics created with no harm to the environment or industry workers. To build on my design work I looked into overconsumption, the way humans are greedy, how we want too much and the effects this has on the earth. Further researching overpopulation which is the root cause of overconsumption. If there was a smaller population in the world, there would be less harm to it. This led me to look at nomads, who lead a minimalistic lifestyle, with very few possessions, being happy with what they do have.
My collection brings together all the elements I discovered through my research, leading me to create as much an eco-friendly and sustainable collection, that I could possibly achieve.
