Opening at BOXPARK Shoreditch in March 2019, FORMULA is a revolutionary skin-care lab emporium dedicated to providing a
destination for whereby men can find expert skin advice they trust. It is a test-bed for innovation which taps into the undeniable immediacy of the world we live in, seamlessly bridging the gap between retail and emerging digital technologies. The purpose-built lab combines sight, hearing, smell and touch into one experience. This exemplifies the future of shopping, showcasing retail at its indulgent and hedonistic best.
As I am particularly interested in pursuing a career in Visual Merchandising, I dedicated my work towards the sector, designing store layouts, concept ideas, mood boards, marketing plans etc. I believe the knowledge and skills built up during my studies from these modules relevant to the industry such as: Visual Merchandising, Buying & Merchandising and Trends Forecasting have given me an excellent foundation for building a career as a Visual Merchandiser.
Aside from my degree, I have built upon my interest in this field in a number of ways. I have completed work experience as a Visual Merchandiser at House of Fraser for my Industry Placement module. My experience at House of Fraser involved all facets of developing and executing merchandising plans. I had been responsible for creating visual, eye-catching layouts and concepts for products, windows and mannequins which met the needs of the customer and reflected the brand. The position had given me an insight into the role and expectations of a Visual Merchandiser.
