"The Silent Protest A/W 2018-19," surrounds the subject of being torn between our sense of self and the struggles of external, artificial labels. The collection highlights 'uniformity' and 'conformity' and the collective woes of being unlike one's self. Highlighted within this collection are the 1960's Mods. They were contradictory, and assumed a formal appearance yet were rebellious and eccentric. They took a shine to the formal way of dressing but profusely questioned society's norms through their sense of style. The finest, natural fabrics are conquered by unruly, oranges and yellows. Whilst Digitally Printed Stripes and Houndstooth checks become layers of nonchalant normality.
