Now a graduate in BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Promotion, my desired carer is to become a buyer within the fashion and retail industry. Throughout my time at University, I have been able to study various roles within the industry and develop my knowledge, experience, and skills further, such as in Adobe software. I am a sociable and outgoing person, who is enthusiastic, pleasant to work with, hardworking and motivated.

The right tile showcases work produced for the module Trend Forecasting. Key drivers within the market were researched, leading to a trend and consumer tribe being identified. The trend was Altruism, focusing on higher economic growth countries fulfilling their duty to make conscious contributions to society. More and more people are seeing that transparency is a necessity, something that is mandatory. The tribe of the Empowered Woman finds commitment to this trend, breaking away from patriarchal structures and projecting their newfound freedom. They want to purchase mass market homeware products which contribute to the environment and the people producing them. Aligning to the client, materials were chosen, and products proposed, displayed in a trend sketchbook and manifesto using InDesign.

The left tile showcases CAD designs created for the module Buying and Merchandising. Working in partnership with George at Asda, research identified a gap in the market for the brand. Identifying key shapes, best sellers, conducting a comparative shop and completing a SWOT analysis, a women’s workwear capsule collection was created. Lead times, critical paths and phasing of the range were considered. Adobe Illustrator was a key skill learnt.

The top tile showcases a video explaining the work produced for the module Independent Final Project. The Family Practical Project operates as a charity and exists to provide UK schools with the services for children and their parents to re-connect by fostering a communicative and educational environment. Teaching both consumers subjects of Environmental Studies, Disability Awareness, Financial Studies and Data Protection Awareness, the project helps students learn important life skills. A business plan was produced, along with final outcomes including take-away booklets, lesson plans, website mock-ups and a marketing campaign.
