PERSONAL PROFILE

A BA (Hons) Fashion, Business and Promotion graduate with strong academic knowledge regarding to different sectors of the fashion industry. Looking to secure a role in Visual Merchandising as an intern or entry level.

My degree allowed me to explore a range of subjects within the visual merchandising sector, underpinned by theoretical and creative aspects making me a versatile employee. Conveying a strength in focusing on innovative visual communication methods and strategies gained through trend research and how this affects physical retail and the demographic. Gained the necessary skill-set in preparation for the industry, 


DISSERTATION

- HOW IS THE FOCUS OF THE DISABILITY SECTOR THROUGH MARKETING, NOW CHALLENGING THE TACIT IDEOLOGIES OF THE FASHION INDUSTRY?

- AN EXAMINATION OF DIFFERENT BRAND STARTEGIES.


A comprehensive and independent study into the diversity of the fashion industry with a key focus on disability. Various of methodologies used to identify the historical, social and cultural impact with key consideration for the future. These consisted of primary and secondary research e.g. questionnaires, focus groups and Mintel reports. An essay exposing the continuous hindering of disability; a current hot topic. Why is there still a tokenistic approach towards disability despite the drive towards inclusivity?

This essay concluded that brands are beginning to respond to the demands of their demographic as a whole. M&S created an adaptable collection for children with disabilities to reinforce the idea that people are not defined by disability.


FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

RENDER X SELFRIDGES

Render provides an Augmented reality service, an additional feature to the existing app. Customers can try on clothing through a personalised avatar which mirrors their human-self. Based on body mapping technology, customers can get the body scan-instore to create their avatar which can be accessed and used at all times. This is achieved through AR and is for ‘on-the-go; consumers. This is an efficient way for customers to shop as the amount of returns should reduce due to them being able to physically visualise their clothing on themselves at a 360 degrees view. This concept allows the app to be profitable
