If I had to guess at what our biggest existential threat is, it’s probably Artificial Intelligence- Elon Musk
Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory
My name is Grace Lennon, I am a 21 year old fashion graduate with a BA Honours degree in Fashion Business and Promotion. My interests lie within marketing, and I have a strong set of skills to accompany my interests.
I am an avid follower of the rise of artificial intelligence, and further trends that have stemmed from this, particularly the wearable technology field and its applications within different industries. My interests in Artificial Intelligence began when studying for a Trends Forecasting project in my second year and I have carried this passion through with me to my final year. Research conducted throughout the dissertation proposed a gap in the market surrounding the variations of wearable technology, which lead to the business concept 'Astute @ Adidas'.
New endeavors are emerging within the textiles industry, stemming from the existing trend of Artificial Intelligence, which is ever increasing every day. Wearable technology has reached mass circulation, however, the education surrounding smart materials and how they can be applied to create beneficial results is significantly lacking. The Olympics and Paralympics position themselves as the perfect opportunity to showcase Astute @ Adidas, and offering smart materials the worldwide recognition they deserve. This is achieved through the application of smart materials to the Official Team GB kit, giving the athletes legal and groundbreaking performance enhancing apparel.
