"Buy back into your local community" -Doorstep's Ethos
Doorstep app has been designed specifically to promote a new concept, supporting local artisans and fueling local communities. The entirety of the concept has been built around the simple ‘Find Me’ geographical function that allows the user to log their location and find desirable products that have been designed, sourced and hand crafted by people within their local communities. The origin of this concept grew from a simple thought. Birmingham, as a prime example, has so many hidden designers and retailers failing to gain the exposure they deserve. With this app, this means these hidden gems are finally discovered by people who want to buy into beautiful local product and support these hardworking artisans.
Demonstrated here, the coherency in brand image and appearance has been developed in a professional manner to situate itself ready for market and industry alignment. This has utilised key design skills through Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Considerations such as colour pallete, trends in packaging and design were taken into account to produce the most professional and effective brand image where possible. All packaging details were produced as real components to gain a feel for the brand from a consumer’s point of view. These have been documented alongside a brand identity guide to create a fluid brand vision.
All app screens have been developed as still prototypes and applied digitally to a screen to envisage how Doorstep would look when brought to market. The visual fluency across the screens is key, creating a fluid consumer journey and memorable experience.
