Distorted Florals

A womenswear summer collection inspired by physical manipulation of flowers and leaves; offering an alternative perspective to the conventional floral patterns found in current trends.

Floral prints are an occurring theme throughout fashion which provided the concept of transforming the ordinary floral print through various processes including manipulating flowers in water, ice, behind a glass and in the reflection of a broken mirror in order to create unique motifs. Inspiration developed from the passion of florals within fashion and the strive to produce distinctive designs. The professional approach to capturing the distortion techniques will demonstrate the time and consideration to producing quality visuals. Detailed drawings will be created from the primary visuals and placed together through composition in the design process.

Attracting young to middle aged women consisting of a colour palette that presents dark grounds with bold and vibrant floral motifs to evoke the feeling of summer. High quality materials such as silk and cotton will give the collection a luxury feel.
